On Mondays and Thursdays, I take appointments as late as 8 pm.
How long are your sessions?
My sessions are 50 minutes.
Do you take insurance?
I do not bill for insurance. However, if you have a PPO plan, you will be able to file for reimbursement claims.
How do I set up an initial appointment?
You can contact me by phone or email to set up an initial appointment. I can also provide an initial phone (15 minutes) or in-person (30 minutes) consultation.

What age ranges do you work with?
I have worked with everyone from 6-year-olds to nesters. In other words, I have worked the lifespan.
I often work with teenagers and their families on behavioral concerns and family communication.
I also love working with single adults who have established their careers but are exploring the unfinished business of their personal lives.
Do you work with men, women, couples?
I work with all of the above.
What do you actually do in sessions with clients?
I help clients to talk about their specific emotional pain, which usually involves hurts in their relationships with others.
I guide them in exploring past relationships to get at early wounds that may be perpetuating patterns. From there, I help clients to find healing through establishing healthy boundaries in their relationships.
Do your clients receive assignments to work on between sessions?
Sometimes.
The assignments are in the form of experimenting with changes to the way they interact in their relationships.
What modalities do you use in your client work?
I work from a “Here and Now” perspective. This means we explore relevant events and interactions (here and now) from week to week to help increase self-awareness and understanding. Through this process, clients feel empowered to make changes in their lives.
What is your professional training and experience?
My professional training and experience include working with clients who have suffered childhood trauma. We trace how that trauma (great or small) has shaped who they are and has affected them emotionally and in their relationships.
The work to heal is deliberate because the wounds are deep.
What else does a client need to know to make the most out of working with you?
My approach focuses on your healing. And healing takes time. I will take the time necessary to understand you and what you have gone through.
Why did you become a therapist?
I studied and worked as an architect for many years.
But my real passion has always been to help people. So, I changed careers because this work really matters to me.
I love, love, love helping people!
